Purpose of the Award

The Employee of the Year award honors a team member whose dedication, integrity, and impact exemplify the heart of Growing Healthy Seasons. It recognizes an individual who not only excels in their role but also lives out our commitment to an individual-centered approach, trusted collaboration, and professional excellence.

How the Winner is Chosen

Each year we invite our entire staff, as well as our clients and service partners, to nominate someone they believe embodies our mission and values. The leadership team reviews all nominations and thoughtfully selects a recipient whose actions reflect exceptional role modeling of our culture, from fostering meaningful connections to uplifting our community through empathy, respect, and joy.

It is our privilege to recognize Naomi Heinz, OTR/L and Clinical Excellence Lead, as our Employee of the Year. Naomi exemplifies excellence in every aspect of therapy. She has an extraordinary ability to recognize the unique strengths of each client and create meaningful, play-based experiences that inspire confidence, growth, and lifelong learning. Her dedication to collaborating with families, caregivers, school teams, and colleagues creates an environment where people truly thrive. Naomi is also deeply committed to advancing her own knowledge and continually refining her practice, so the children and families she serves receive the highest quality of care.

Beyond her clinical expertise, Naomi has become a trusted mentor and a source of inspiration for our entire team, earning the affectionate nickname “the Yoda of GHS.” She is known for her innovative thinking, exceptional work ethic, and willingness to build on existing systems to make them more effective. Colleagues consistently describe her as someone who inspires them to go above and beyond in their own treatment planning and professional growth. Whether she is generously sharing her knowledge, collaborating with teammates, or encouraging others to think differently, Naomi elevates everyone around her.
