Laura Daniela Jimenez Garcia
SLPA
Speech Language Pathologist Assistant, Registered and Licensed, CA
TextI’m a first-generation Latina who aims to inspire and make a positive change in my community. I’m the oldest of six brothers and grew up surrounded by my extended family, cherishing the time we spend together and creating lasting memories.
My journey in the professional world started when I studied abroad in Madrid, Spain. During my time abroad, I interned with a program called T-oigo (I Hear You), where I collaborated with a family.
T-oigo focuses on helping families overcome barriers and raising awareness about children with hearing loss who use hearing aids or cochlear implants. Little did I know in 2016 that this experience would plant the seed for my career in Speech Pathology.
As a Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA), I find immense joy in working with families and being part of a team that recognizes the resilience of every child. Being an SLPA allows me to have a meaningful impact, connecting with the children and families I work with. It’s a privilege to be part of their journey, and I genuinely love learning how to help kids become their best selves!
