Cheri Wieland

PT, C/NDT

I graduated from the University of Washington in 1998 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Therapy and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology. I have focused on pediatric PT for the past 25 years, working with amazing children in a variety of settings including in a children’s hospital, clinics, aquatic therapy, early intervention, teletherapy, and primarily in the schools for the past 18 years. I am certified in Neuro-Developmental Treatment for the Management of Children with Cerebral Palsy and other Neuromuscular Disorders, and have also taken numerous courses in working with children with a variety of diagnosis and impairments, in order to help them increase their functional skills and achieve their goals.

Working primarily in the schools, I am always training school staff and families on how to assist their children in using therapy equipment, and to increase their strength, balance, coordination, and gross motor skills. I have also had the opportunity to distribute therapy equipment and provide a variety of trainings in Romania, Malawi, and in Mexico annually. I love working as a physical therapist, and helping kids participate in school, play with peers, and access their environments as successfully and independently as possible!
